Red Herculaneum

It is obtained from the grinding of a natural red earth extracted in the Veneto region, composed of minerals such as iron oxide and calcium sulphate. Rosso Ercolano has been known since the times of the ancient Romans, who, given the wide use in the frescoes of Pompeii, had nicknamed it Pompeian Red.
